In the late 90s, when piece sports cars and sports versions of civilian foreign cars were just beginning to appear in Russia, one enthusiast was already stubbornly screwing the turbine to the naturally aspirated Toyota Camry engine and putting A’pexi miracle boxes (boost controllers) on rare then Subaru Impreza WRX STi, GT and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Having created panic at night races with his invincible STi and Evo, this tireless man was already preparing the monstrous Nissan Skyline GT-R, and over time, all those who are not indifferent to speed and motorsport recognized Aleksey Briginevich – now a legendary man – the leader of Altuning, then Altechno, and now the Brig’s project.
Over time, this field of activity has become quite competitive. In addition to outright adventurers and scammers who for some reason decided that this is a place where you can get quick and easy money, worthy players began to come to it, which fueled our enthusiasm even more, because. it’s a sport. Yes, amateur undertakings gradually developed into motorsport competitions in different classes. And in any sport, it is interesting only when there are worthy rivals. Nevertheless, we can rightly call ourselves the oldest tuners left from those dashing times. “RS-Competition”, “Sportmobil”, “Alpina-service”, “Lukas-turbo”, “MDS” and others have already gone down in history. Having gone through a series of ups and downs, having accumulated experience, knowledge, and useful contacts abroad,
For more than 20 years, many famous people from the field of Russian motorsport and tuning have managed to work in our team. Some have created their own projects or work in this field of activity: TC-Pleiada, Misha evo2, Gosha Turbotech, JDM parts, URT. So, for a large number of specialists, Altuning-Altechno has become a school and a launching pad. But we did not stand still. After STi and Evo mastered Rb26, they first began to tune MoTec, for which they were invited by Sergey Uspensky to U-Service, where they developed a new direction, URT-tuning. Nissan GT-R R35 from Altechno has always been on the first lines in different competition classes, currently holds several Russian and world records in drag racing. We challenged the Bugatti Veyron and drove it in a Skyline R34 GT-R, the video of this race collected then-record views around the world. With the advent of the potential for tuning German cars, we naturally began to work with them. And our project Lamborghini Gallardo still remains the world record holder at a distance of 1 mile. We are currently working closely with VAG, BMW and Porsche. At the same time, we are willingly engaged in rare sports cars, we built Ultima GTR, Noble, Jaguar, Lotus. We also restore and build American muscle-cars.
Dealing with the most interesting Japanese cars at that time, Aleksey was the first in the CIS to sign dealership contracts with A’pexi, JUN, Trust-Greggy-Grex, Tein, Endless, Cusco and many other well-known manufacturers of components for tuning Japanese cars. Now among our suppliers, there are already about a hundred companies from all over the world. We are especially proud of the recently obtained MoTeС Distributor status. Moreover, we are setting up our own production of parts for motorsport and tuning. We are already producing electronic components for OEM MoTeC.
However, the accumulated experience is already too crowded in the street and amateur tuning. We are looking more and more towards motorsport. We are already preparing top cars for drifting, drag racing, rally, and circuit racing championships.
